Evidence 1:Blog - http://bratina-introcs.blogspot.com/ Rationale 1: This a blog that I have created for my “Computers & Society” class. On this blog, I post every assignment that the students have for the class.I also post a link to any of the worksheets so the students can print out their own if they lose the one given them in class.I have also put the power point slide shows that were shown in class. This blog was shown to the parents that came to orientation and I constantly remind the students that if they are at home sick or falling behind, to take advantage of the blog at home to keep up with the class.
KSD 10.K.2 The teacher understands how factors in the students’ environment outside of school (e.g. family circumstances, community environments, health, and economic conditions) may influence students’ lives and learning. By putting assignment, notes, important links and review quizzes on the blog, I have given the students access to this class outside the school walls. That way if they are sick, missing school because of other reasons or falling behind they still have a way to keep up with the class. 10.S.5 The teacher talks with and listens to the student, is sensitive and responsive to clues of distress; investigating situations, and seeking outside help as needed and appropriate to remedy problems. This blog is a way for students to work outside this class if they need it.Also the students or their parents have access to my email and contact me that way if they are having problems.I have had parents and students contact me this way and have found it a great way to help each other.
10.D.1 The teacher values and appreciates all aspects of a child’s experience.
In a small school, some students are very active in many aspects of extra curricular activities or they have responsibilities at home and this blog gives access to their work at any time they can access it.It allows them more time than what might be available to them otherwise.
